For aspiring UCT students, the university holds open days annually in the early part of may which are primarily for grade 10 to 12 students, their families and of course teachers. The open days offer students and parents an insight into the diverse range of study options with each faculty represented separatly.

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme
This scheme is intended for deserving students from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is a government initiative funded by government, International donors and private donors which offer not only funding but bursaries for a portion of the funding.
