The University of Johannesburg is the result of the merger of 3 learning institutions in 2004 and 2005, Wits Technikon, Rand Afrikaans University and Vista University. The University is a comprehensive University offering a broad faculty range which faculties can be contacted at the numbers and websites listed below.

The University of the Western Cape has as it’s chancellor, Archbishop emeritus Desmond Tutu, recipient of the Presidential medal of Freedom from the United States among his many honours.
