The Cape Peninsula University of Technology are leaders in innovation in the field of technology in Souther Africa.

Currently, CPUT, with apprved funding from the National Research foundation are developing the Universities first satellite. Funding of R21 million has been approved for the development and is indicative of their motto to be at the heart of technology education and innovation in Africa.
